Watching Planet Earth

December 4, 2007

This conversation was captured at Bongo Video on Willy Street while the BBC series Planet Earth was playing on the in store television (sent in by Brian):

Customer (referring to the television): What’s that?

Clerk: Planet Earth.

Customer: I heard that’s supposed to be good.

Clerk: Yeah, Planet Earth is really popular.

A bitch nugget?

December 4, 2007

I don’t know what it means, I only heard one Office Depot employee say it to another, I presume in reference to a non-present co-worker.

“What else would you expect from her, she’s a bitch nugget.”

One Big Ass Library has a list of things echodropped by librarians from around the world. Madison hits number seven with this gem:

“Processing a new title in NOT the moral equivalent of dry humping.”

And you wonder why they want you to shush all the time.

Never too old at the office

November 16, 2007

From Overheard in the Office:

4PM And Die?

Office peon, brightly: Well, you’re never too old to stop learning!

Overheard by: Think I’ll Do That

Sara with no H echodrops her coworkers:

Overprotective: I really miss my daughter.
Overstressed: Really? I don’t miss mine. She’s having a great time.
Overprotective: How do you know that?
Overstressed: I know. They do a good job up there.
Overprotective: I wish I could be so sure.
Overstressed: Anytime I start to miss her, I just walk in her closet. That’s all it takes. Walk in your daughter’s closet.
Overprotective: Huh

Shortly thereafter–blogwise–Sara echodropped her own trip to the the grocery store’s pet food aisle.
